The Challenge

Wyoming-based UniWyo Credit Union needed an updated site that better reflected their mission and values. The credit union offers an array of products and services to its members and with a confusing navigation, that information was difficult to find. In addition, the previous site had outdated technology, lacked an intuitive design, and no longer reflected usability best practices. To better reflect their mission of bettering people’s lives and putting their members first, UniWyo Credit Union sought to create a modern, mobile-friendly website with a clean navigation experience that supports the consumer journey.

Supporting visitor goals through intuitive design

The updated website architecture creates an intuitive flow of information, allowing visitors to immediately find what they are looking for. Additionally, the simple, clean product page design lets visitors easily scroll through the pages and digest the information. To achieve UniWyo’s goal of having a more modern, mobile-first website, responsive design best practices were used, and the design was also developed against website ADA standards.

Bringing the brand to life

Scenic imagery, colors and animations throughout the redesigned site were strategically chosen to bring UniWyo’s brand to life. Along with the visual elements, fresh new website copy and solutions-oriented product promotions were critical to conveying the credit union’s unique brand voice. The updated messaging consistently emphasizes their mission of improving people’s lives and putting their members first, while contextual product promotions support member needs based on life stage and goals.

Increasing visibility, understanding conversions

Not only is website copy critical when building a successful website strategy, but SEO and analytics are as well. ZAG’s SEO specialists created an organic search strategy following current SEO best practices, with the goal of increasing UniWyo’s visibility on search engines and attracting qualified visitors to their updated site. With a custom analytics strategy, the credit union will now be able to monitor and measure key performance indicators as well as fully understand all conversion points so that it can ultimately measure ROI from the website and better inform future site decisions.

Improving website management

Along with a new design and strategy, UniWyo Credit Union moved to a new CMS platform to better manage their website. The Kentico Xperience CMS is a highly configurable .NET platform that includes many out-of-the-box features while also seamlessly integrating with other systems. The rates and FAQ management tools are just a couple of custom features that were incorporated into the new site build - providing UniWyo with the ability to centrally manage both rates and FAQs while displaying helpful information to visitors.

With a newly developed website that is modern, intuitive, and engaging, UniWyo Credit Union can deliver on its brand promise, and provide its current and prospective members a site experience that makes banking easy.
