Software We Use on Our Site
We use Google Analytics and to understand how visitors interact with our site, to measure traffic and to improve our website. We also use Google Advertising features including Google AdWords, Remarketing with Google Analytics and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. We use various services from time to time assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. We use Quantcast to help us better understand and reach our digital audiences.
ZAG uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, services that track your activity while on our website. When you use our website, we may send one or more cookies. These are small text files with a string of alphanumeric characters sent from the website and stored on your device. Cookies are used to: store information about users’ preferences, location and other details; to protect users’ data from unauthorized access; to main certain website functionality; to serve personalized ads to users and to make advertising more effective via remarketing; and to collect Google Analytics data and other tracking data. Cookies are used to collect some data that your web browser automatically sends to Google. This may include the web address of the page you’re visiting and your IP address. Google explains how cookies work, as well as the types of cookies used by Google.
Our site uses both first-party cookies and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are issued by the website being visited and only the website which issues the first-party cookie can read them. Third-party cookies are issued by website(s) other than the website being visited. Both types can be set with or without an expiration date. Cookies set without expiration dates are known as temporary cookies, and these expire as soon as you end the web session or close the browser window. Cookies set with an expiration date are persistent cookies. These cookies expire only on the expiration date and can remain on your computer even when you have ended the web session or closed your browser window.
Google explains how its tools like Google Analytics collect and use data from site visits.
ZAG Interactive uses the Facebook Pixel to track activity on our website, potentially including pages visited and links clicked. This data is used to track the effectiveness of our Facebook posts and advertisements, as well as to build remarketing audiences based on actions taken on our website.
Our site permits data collection for interest-based advertising to collect anonymous traffic statistics. We use Quantcast to collect this measurement data. The service applies proprietary processes to generate data used only by ZAG Interactive. It does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). We may create remarketing lists using Google Analytics to serve interest-based advertising to audiences who may be interested in our services. Benefits of interest-based advertising include receiving ads which are more tailored to your interests.
Information on Opting Out
We sincerely respect your privacy. If you don’t want ZAG to share interest-based behavioral data with third parties, the following links are available to provide you information on opting out. Some opt-out tools are cookie-based, so for them to work, you must allow third-party cookies. If you change computers, browsers or delete certain opt-out cookies, a third-party service will no longer know you have opted out. Opting out of receiving interest-based ads or of allowing ZAG to collect interest-based behavioral data does not mean you won’t see any online ads. It just means your ads for ZAG services won’t be based on your interests.
