The credit union once again partnered with ZAG to enhance their online presence – resulting in a responsive website built in the latest technology to drive growth and reinforce their mission of putting their members first wherever their paths take them.

Custom solutions for a personalized site

  • A solutions finder is featured on the homepage and internal pages to recommend products, services and resources based on a visitor’s selected financial goal or life stage.
  • The site features a personalization strategy that tailors content to specific audiences based on previous browser behavior and other on-site activity to create a relevant and relatable experience that supports conversions.
  • Dynamic page layouts are designed, including one for the James Madison University audience, to create unique experiences while providing a consistent look and feel throughout the website.
Strategic use of newly designed components support a visual content approach while updated website copy communicates the value of the credit union’s products and services.

An intuitive digital experience

  • The new menu and overall site structure creates a clear path based on action and audience, allowing visitors to easily find what they are looking for.
  • Links based on financial goals and life stages are featured within the mega menus to assist in decision making while furthering engagement.
  • A more robust site search includes quick queries that provides convenience to visitors that is expected and consistent with user trends.

Tools to support the consumer journey

  • SEO best practices are implemented to optimize the new website for organic search and increase visibility among the right audiences.
  • A newly designed blog helps attract consumers at various stages in their journey while providing education and allowing the credit union to create meaningful relationships. 
  • To support conversions, capture leads and complete a consumer’s journey, a new landing page layout was designed and developed.
All aspects of the new site, including, design and content follow the latest ADA guidelines to ensure accessibility for all audiences.

Enhanced technology and tools

  • Built in Kentico, the powerful CMS provides an easy-to-manage and secure platform for website updates and edits. 
  • Not only does the technology upgrade seamlessly integrate with third-party platforms, it also allows for centralized management of content that is used in many places throughout the site, such as rates, locations, events, promotions and more.  
  • Custom analytics, including cross-domain tracking, enables CommonWealth One to monitor key performance indicators as well as key visitor interactions.
We launched our site in mid-December, and by December 31, our website traffic and engagement metrics had improved substantially compared to the previous month. The personalization and enhanced SEO features on our new site have been highly effective at attracting new visitors, particularly to our blog and financial education pages, which saw an increase of 5,380 new users in just one month!
