Over the centuries, the community bank continues to grow, expanding its locations and offering comprehensive banking solutions. To keep up with changing times, Dime Bank entrusted ZAG Interactive to redesign its site
to make it more modern, feature-rich and user friendly.
Starting with overall site strategy
Following preliminary conversations and initial recommendations, ZAG and Dime Bank determined how a new website might achieve the institution’s short- and long-term goals through a collaborative discovery session

The project teams from the agency and bank identified mandatory requirements and desired functionality, as well as took deep dives into brand attributes, key offerings and success metrics for incorporation into the new site. A major differentiator that needed to come through on the new site was Dime Bank’s storied history of community involvement. Following this direction, ZAG’s digital strategists devised a new website architecture
that offered a simple navigational approach while offering an expandable page structure for future bank growth.
Capturing the right tone with copywriting
To clearly communicate all that the institution offers in a way that connects with its customers, Dime Bank turned to ZAG’s copywriting
staff. The content writers crafted new website copy to concisely describe Dime Bank’s philosophy, history, products, services and reach in a compelling manner, while following best practices for search engine optimization
. The resulting website content is lively, easy to understand and benefit driven to let Dime Bank’s customers know how the institution can service their needs.
Bringing forth a fresh and lively design
Armed with a new site architecture and Dime Bank’s existing brand standards, ZAG’s design team crafted a modern yet welcoming visual design. Bringing together brand colors, graphical elements, unique iconography and appropriate photography, ZAG’s designers crafted website concepts from which Dime Bank selected a preferred direction. This overall look and feel was applied to dynamic templates, each with its own utilitarian design strategy, that served as the basis for all the site’s internal pages. The redesigned site features a practical hierarchy of information, lifestyle imagery, banded content, eye-catching promotions, as well as prominent calls to action. Offering a seamless experience for users on all devices, the site was then translated to mobile and tablet devices through responsive design
. The resulting redesign measures up for both style and substance with a clean, easy-to-navigate design that feels distinctive to Dime Bank.

Keeping in mind that Dime Bank wanted a powerful, scalable content management system, ZAG’s developers built the site on the Kentico CMS

Today, the new Dime Bank site provides a user-centric, mobile-friendly design, backed by guided copy, custom functionality and self-service capabilities. Appealing to the bank’s older demographics as well as the coveted millennial marketplace, users can quickly find information through logical paths.
