An upgraded website that is convenient, connected and committed to customers

With their customers’ ever-evolving banking needs and the bank’s core values in mind, BankWest was looking for a refreshed website design that would further enhance the user experience, while also being easier to administer. BankWest enlisted ZAG to meet business goals while staying true to their hometown South Dakota roots, empowering customers and fostering financial growth.

Improving the user experience

  • A collaborative discovery session was held to better understand the bank’s objectives so that the new design reflected their strategic priorities while meeting customer needs.
  • The site features a streamlined architecture that reflects how visitors look for financial products and services, while the mega menus include popular links and tools. 
  • Highly viewed pages like Open an Account, Locations, Careers, and Contact are featured in the global navigation to allow easy access for website visitors.
A promotion within the login space allows BankWest to further engage existing customers beyond their typical site activity.

Creating a modern, conformant design

  • From the custom designs to final development, BankWest’s new site follows responsive design best practices to ensure it seamlessly adapts to various screen sizes and devices. 
  • Strategic use of brand colors, dynamic movements and visual elements are incorporated into the design to help move website visitors down each page.
  • Thanks to our certified accessibility experts, the website is conformant with current WCAG ADA guidelines.

Delivering an elevated content strategy

  • New visual components such as a comparison chart, feature bands, on-page promotions and more allow for easily digestible page content.
  • Page-specific resources and a  blog guide consumers along the decision-making journey.
  • A landing page was designed and developed to encourage conversions and better promote key products, services, events or topics.
A custom maintenance page was developed to match the look and feel of the new site while including key contact information and messaging. This ensures that even if the site is down for maintenance, key needs are always met.

Powerful and secure CMS development

  • To better serve the bank's unique needs, enhance content management, and support the latest technology, the website was rebuilt in the Kentico CMS.
  • A map-based locations management tool with Allpoint ATM Network integration creates a visual experience for users to find a nearby branch or ATM.
