1H 2026 Website Launches: What’s Trending?
ZAG Interactive, a top agency for bank and credit union website redesigns, has been hard at work in the first half of 2026 putting the finishing touches on websites for financial institutions across the U.S. Take a peek at some of the highlights of these impressive financial website redesigns, and also explore some of the design, marketing and technical trends we are seeing so you can be inspired for your next redesign project.
New Credit Union Website Redesigns
ZAG was fortunate enough to be able to work on redesigns for several existing credit union clients, and win the business of several new credit unions who are now part of the ZAG family. We are also thrilled that many were recognized as a Kentico Site of the Month.
- American Eagle FCU (February 2026 Kentico Site of the Month): This custom website redesign for a thriving Connecticut credit union allows visitors to simplify how they get the financial information they need, while allowing the credit union to better support its conversion goals. This site was built in Xperience by Kentico and including our integrated strategy, design, marketing and development teams. Read the full case study.
- Frontwave Credit Union (April 2026 Kentico Site of the Month): This long time ZAG client was outgrowing their previous site and ZAG was ready to deliver upon their Dream Big brand promise. This new site reflects a bold strategy and design, a custom build in Xperience by Kentico, and a suite of related services to support their conversion goals.
- Stanford Credit Union (April 2026 Kentico Site of the Month): This new ZAG client needed a website that would stand out from the crowd, support business and member goals and offer robust features that today’s users and administrators need. ZAG’s team of strategists, designers, marketers and developers came together to produce an Xperience by Kentico site that is already delivering results. Read the full case study.
- KeyPoint Credit Union (May 2026 Kentico Site of the Month): ZAG was thrilled to once again support this California credit union with their website redesign needs. Providing integrated strategy, design, Xperience by Kentico development and marketing services, we created a site that is sophisticated yet approachable – and scalable as the credit union continues to grow.
- MECU: This Baltimore credit union knew it was time to overhaul their website and once again hired ZAG to strategize, design and build a custom site in Xperience by Kentico. This new site supports the credit union’s ongoing needs – many of which ZAG supports day to day as a full-service digital agency.
- Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union: One of many of our credit union clients in Hawaii, ZAG got the opportunity to assist with a strategy, design, marketing and technical overhaul. The new site provides fresh brand positioning, supports business and visitor goals and creates a more engaging digital experience that drives conversion and long-term growth.
- Weokie FCU: This Oklahoma credit union hired ZAG to re-imagine its website – creating a modern, branded user experience that also supports business goals. ZAG provided strategy, design and prototyping services to then guide the Weokie team with the full site build.
New Bank Website Redesigns
ZAG also grew our portfolio of Bank clients in 2026 and has many more bank client redesign projects launching later in 2026 as well.
- Webster Five: ZAG modernized this Massachusetts bank’s website, overhauling the strategy, design and marketing approach, while building this custom site in the Xperience by Kentico CMS. Administrators now have a site that is easy to manage, while being a powerful communication and marketing tool.
What is Trending for Banking Websites in 2026?
With these 8 launches and more than 20 banking sites in development, several important trends are emerging:
- Personalized website experiences: Many of these website redesigns included a custom website personalization strategy and CMS implementation. ZAG’s strategy team worked closely with our clients to understand their unique goals and audiences and use this tactic to create audience relevance and support conversions.
- Content modeling: All of these projects utilized a strategic content modeling approach that helped set the foundation for the website design and copywriting. Importantly, this approach took SEO and GEO best practices into consideration so that content is scannable by both humans and engines alike.
- Administrator friendly tools: Banks and credit unions have unique website content needs and must be able to easily and centrally manage a variety of content types. Most of these Class of 2026 sites include locations management tools, rates management tools, FAQ management tools and more.
- SEO and AI friendly features: All of these sites were built to be easily crawlable by SEO and AI engines, but our content and website strategies have evolved considerably to ensure that sites have content and structure that can maximize appeal. Several of these sites also include some add on features like schema and ongoing SEO/GEO services to keep the party going.
- Reimagined promotions: Bank and credit union marketers need plenty of promotional space but the days of a scrolling masthead are hopefully behind us. Modern banking websites are using different promotional tactics – combined with personalization – to drive engagement and relevance – without visually overcrowding the user experience.
- Data driven decisions: Every project was guided by an analysis of current site performance and opportunities, and has been closely monitored after launch against the initial goals. Reviewing conversion and engagement data pre and post redesign validates the hard work and investment in a redesign, and allows marketing managers to show that the project isn’t just an expense.
ZAG is hard at work on more strategic website redesigns built in Xperience by Kentico, Umbraco and HubSpot and is excited to share them with the world later in 2026. If you’re a bank or credit union ready to take your site to the next level, contact us.
