Since 1948, Sikorsky Credit Union has grown from a small credit union serving only Sikorsky Aircraft employees to one of the largest credit unions in Connecticut with a diverse member base spread throughout the country. As Sikorsky Credit Union continues to evolve, they needed a modernized web presence that show they’re attuned to members’ expectations for a better experience.

Member-focused design and architecture

Sikorsky CU turned to ZAG Interactive to create a member-centric orientation through a new website architecture system that provides easy access to informative resources, allows them to establish communication with Sikorsky CU in multiple ways, and also helps them access self-service resources like a Solution Finder and Product Finder to save time and make finding the right solution easy.

ZAG created a responsiveAA compliant design that caters to members’ preferred method of access and offers visitors convenient opportunities to explore the array of banking and lending services that Sikorsky CU offers, without overwhelming them. Visitors are able to access rates, explore products and services, apply for a loan and contact Sikorsky CU in just a handful of clicks. The design also included a landing page template to support Sikorsky’s marketing needs.

Fresh content strategy

As part of modernizing and simplifying the look of Sikorsky CU’s site, ZAG revamped the web content to be more relatable and less dense while making it informative and quick to the point. Sikorsky CU’s SEO goals are supported by content that is woven together in a casual and approachable tone. As part of its continuing commitment to member education, Sikorsky CU also introduced a blog with their new website. The new website also leverages content personalization to deliver relevant content to visitors depending on their behavior. 

Custom Kentico development

ZAG’s development team supported the modern design with functionality that enhances the user experience, simplifies content management for Sikorsky CU administrators, and helps visitors quickly access information and tools they need. Built in the Kentico CMS, our development team integrated Sikorsky CU’s third-party online banking platform, executed numerous third-party integrations sitewide, and also built a rates management tool to facilitate centralized rate updates. The robust CMS will also support Sikorsky CU’s future goals of inbound marketing through email, marketing automation and more.
