The Police Credit Union (formerly SFPCU) is a full-service financial institution headquartered in the California Bay Area and serving first responders and their families since 1953. The Police Credit Union relied on ZAG Interactive to create a modernized website that reflects the credit union’s member service and involvement in local communities. They needed a site with simpler navigation that delivers a more robust user experience through intelligent site architecture.
Powerful, responsive website
ZAG and The Police Credit Union worked together on a site design back in 2008 and this project implemented the next phase of The Police Credit Union’s digital presence to keep the website aligned with today’s best web practices. Our designers created a more powerful, responsive website that utilizes striking, emotional photographs of first responders in action to emphasize The Police Credit Union’s brand and mission. Using this imagery, we helped position The Police Credit Union as a trustworthy credit union that understands the unique needs of their members of law enforcement, fire protection, emergency medical technicians and other agencies.
Strategic user experience
We designed large promotional areas where messaging is prominent and engages the audience without distracting them. The calls to action are defined clearly for a better user experience. In these spaces, The Police Credit Union expresses its brand position as a credit union that cares about members. ZAG designers implemented expandable menus that enable easy navigation to internal pages while providing additional promotional areas to cross-sell products and services.
Custom Sitefinity CMS features
Developing on the Sitefinity CMS , ZAG developers integrated a rates database that allows rates to be updated dynamically throughout the site. We also integrated the online banking login with a third-party provider while maintaining the user experience we created with the website redesign.
Rich, optimized web content
Our copywriting department overhauled The Police Credit Union’s content to achieve a consistent, professional tone throughout the site while streamlining an abundance of content into concise chunks of useful information. Coupled with our marketing department’s SEO efforts, we created rich content that is now optimized for search engines.
Overall, The Police Credit Union’s enhanced website caters to their members with convenience and useful functionality, better information and a presentation that expresses the credit union’s role as a financial partner ready to help.
