Self-Help Credit Union is a North Carolina-based institution that endeavors to create and protect ownership and economic opportunities for all members through traditional financial services and specialized products. They focus on underserved communities by financing nonprofits, child care centers, community health facilities, public charter schools, affordable housing and more while supporting fair public policies that provide more opportunities for members they serve. As part of its rebranding process, Self-Help CU approached ZAG Interactive to redesign a website that delivers an enhanced user experience.
Clean Design Facilitates Online Transactions
ZAG’s team created a responsive website design that relies on large imagery and clean design with increased white space. The new approach delivers a friendly, community-focused feel that accurately reflects Self-Help’s mission.
Our site redesign effort began with a reorganized and more intuitive site architecture. Our design team implemented “mega menu” navigation in order to guide visitors through the site quickly while showcasing important information at the top of the page. The new design also features clear calls-to-action from each page to aid in user experience, and a Related Content section to facilitate user interaction with more pages of the site.
Developing on the Sitefinity CMS
Our developers complemented the clean design with intelligent functionality that enhances the user experience and simplifies content management for Self-Help’s administrators. Building on the Sitefinity Content Management System, our team built a responsive website that integrated with the institution’s online banking platform, online account opening provider, Google Maps, and more to create a seamless and powerful site experience.
The new site offers members a fresh, modern experience, better positions Self-Help for prospective members, and will grow smoothly with the institution over the years.
