Improving the digital banking experience for this NY bank

PCSB Bank, serving customers in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York, needed to upgrade its digital presence in order better meet the needs of its customers and its site administrators. Then bank hired ZAG Interactive to translate its needs into a modern site that would grow with the institution over time.

User-focused design strategy

PCSB’s previous site lacked a focus on user experience and the bank challenged the ZAG team to change this. The refreshed site design offers modern yet relatable graphics that portray a local feel. The site was designed and built to offer a seamless mobile responsive experience, catering to visitors no matter their device. Additionally, the site was designed and built against current ADA conformance standards for visitors with disabilities and helps distinguish the bank from other institutions. A community band on the home page helps customers understand the impact of the bank’s Community Foundation, and clear information about the range of personal and business solutions helps visitors make informed financial decisions.

Powered by the Kentico CMS

PCSB knew it needed a site that would be easy to update, allowing PCSB administrators to easily add pages, update rates and more. ZAG chose the Kentico CMS because of its ease-of-use, product support and scalability. The Bank plans to utilizing other features that the Kentico CMS offers as it evolves the site over time.

Fresh marketing approach

While the redesign team worked on the new site design, ZAG’s marketing team also worked to establish a strategy for PCSB’s social media presence, rolling out a comprehensive social media plan that aligned with the bank's strategy.

We compete in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York, one of the most competitive banking environments in the country. Our website must provide customers with a great experience to keep PCSB in the game. ZAG developed a site that positions us favorably against the major national institutions, while being true to our local, community-oriented brand identity. On brand, on point...couldn’t be happier with the results.
