LAZ Parking is a national parking company that has grown immensely since its founding in 1981 in Hartford, CT. The company, which is headquartered in Hartford, currently manages, leases or owns hundreds of thousands of parking spaces in thousands of locations throughout the U.S.
They came to us needing a sophisticated, informative and modern website that is easier for visitors to navigate. We transformed their web presence through updated, responsive design, enhanced functionality and lively content.
A cohesive user experience
LAZ Parking’s redesigned website serves as a consolidated resource speaking to two distinct audiences—the people who are searching for parking spaces and the business leaders who form parking partnerships with LAZ—while providing a cohesive user experience. We changed the site’s architecture to focus on LAZ’s new business goals focusing on people looking for parking options. ZAG’s responsive design adjusts to any device’s screen size, which is ideal for people who are driving and need to research parking options on their mobile device. Before we developed the responsive site, we provided wireframes to show a blueprint of how the recast site would be structured.
Simple yet comprehensive parking finder
We simplified LAZ’s homepage and implemented a prominent parking search bar to complement authentic photography of some of the cities where LAZ operates. The homepage caters to people who want to find available parking quickly and easily based on a particular city, address or point of interest while enabling visitors to make parking reservations online for many locations. People also are able to filter their search results by price, distance and amenities.
ZAG’s development team integrated with LAZ’s parking facility finder and existing functionality that allows people to pay their bills and manage their monthly parking accounts. Additionally, we created local pages for specific cities with intuitive map functionality so visitors can find parking easily in their exact location. This localized feature geared toward cities and venues also supports ZAG’s ongoing SEO and user experience strategies.
Fresh, SEO-friendly messaging
As part of our original overhaul of LAZ’s site in 2012, we worked with the company’s marketing officials to craft fresh messages that speak to LAZ’s consumer and business audiences. One of the most important elements of our rewrite was to accurately capture LAZ’s unique culture that has helped the company grow significantly, including detailed information about the company’s charitable foundation.
We also created new content that provides more information about factors that differentiate LAZ from its competitors in an effort to alter the perception that all parking companies are alike.
