Farm Bureau Bank® offers unique financial solutions for members of the Farm Bureau® nationwide. To support the bank’s business goals, Farm Bureau knew it was time to redesign its website to establish a more contemporary digital experience. The Bank ultimately selected ZAG because of our expertise and experience creating and managing financial institution websites. Considering best practices and the distinct requirements of the bank, the new Farm Bureau website successfully supports its mission to make every experience matter.

Delivering an enhanced user experience

Appealing to the bank’s distinct audiences, the new site architecture splits up the navigation between personal and business banking solutions. A streamlined menu of pages organized by intuitive subheadings provide visitors a clear path to find the information they are looking for – from product offerings to rates. Delivering a simple sign on to online banking, a login button is featured at the top of every page, providing existing customers with direct access to different accounts. A persistent contact link in the global navigation enables customers to easily get in touch with the bank at any point while exploring the website. Making it easy to open new accounts and apply for loans or credit cards while supporting the bank’s growth goals, the website also features strong calls to action on each page that integrate seamlessly with third party applications.

Providing accessible content for conversions

The responsive and ADA conformant design delivers an enhanced user experience, ensuring content is accessible to all users across all devices. The website is also optimized for search engines – following SEO strategy best practices. Design elements strategically to define content spaces and relay key features and benefits, helping consumers understand the value of Farm Bureau’s products and services. The use of relevant photography and engaging icons also works to establish connections with customers and communicate effectively. Additionally, ZAG developed a conversion-focused landing page layout for the bank to use to support conversions for its marketing campaigns.

Generating brand awareness and trust

Leveraging distinct brand colors and graphics within the design, the website helps to elevate the bank’s identity and bring awareness to its mission and vision. Guiding visitors along the consumer journey, financial resources – from calculators and forms to answers to frequently asked questions – are integrated throughout the site. Combined with details about the bank’s background and Farm Bureau affiliation, the site’s content strategy informs customers while positioning Farm Bureau Bank as a trusted financial partner.

Offering an easier way to manage website content

Robust features and the ability for customization within the Kentico CMS provided the ability to create a website experience that supported Farm Bureau’s functionality and user experience goals. With a user-friendly administrative dashboard, the Kentico CMS allows for an improved internal workflow for Farm Bureau’s internal teams, making routine content updates simple and alleviating the day-to-day reliance on development resources. Dynamic page layouts deliver scalability while maintaining consistency throughout the website. A rates management tool further streamlines updates by making sitewide updates seamlessly, reducing compliance concerns and minimizing management time. Additionally, a custom-developed interactive map allows users to quickly and easily connect to their local Farm Bureau to obtain membership, a requirement to become a customer at the bank. The new website successfully reflects the brand, meets customer needs, and supports the bank’s business goals, now and in the future.

After 10 years our website needed a complete overhaul. We wanted a fresh look and feel to match our branding along with simple navigation to maximize the user experience. ZAG helped us hone our strategy and build a dynamic website that is scalable and easy to manage.
