As the largest credit union in the Pittsburgh area, Clearview Federal Credit Union wanted to redesign its website with members in mind. Based on their goals, ZAG designed and developed a solutions-based site with a five-star consumer journey, helping set Clearview apart from its competition as a trustworthy, dependable financial partner with a strong community focus.

Breaking out of the mold

Following a collaborative discovery session with Clearview, ZAG outlined a new site architecture and strategy that would support its major redesign objectives, including enhancing the user experience, providing more comprehensive solutions, simplifying the content management process, and attracting new members. To increase online visibiity of the brand, products and services among potential new members, a tactical SEO strategy supports rankings in search results and helps drive qualified traffic to the website. The content strategy aligns with Clearview’s values and guides visitors throughout the site, balancing product promotions with educational resources, member solutions, and other essential elements.

Designing with solutions in mind

An intuitive, streamlined design supports Clearview’s mission to help members enjoy a better life through values-based financial solutions. Action-oriented navigational elements and a responsive, ADA-conformant design make it easy for all users to find what they’re looking for. Large, vibrant imagery conveys a friendly, approachable feel, and a robust community section highlights Clearview’s commitment to giving back. A customizable campaign landing page layout drives conversions and can be adapted for future promotions. 

Guiding visitors to the right choice

The new website supports both members and non-members through two clearly differentiated paths, with targeted experiences for each. A solutions finder and five unique product finders serve up personalized account and loan recommendations based on needs and preferences. Prominently featured testimonials illustrate Clearview’s investment in the success of its members, while contextual FAQs, financial calculators, and blog articles help members make the best decisions based on their unique circumstances. A website tour was also added to the home page, ensuring a seamless transition for new site visitors. The tour showed new site visitors where to find popular items, like online banking and new features.

The right tools to adapt and thrive

Clearview’s new site, built on the Kentico content management system, features an easy-to-use dashboard with custom widgets and modules, making it easy for administrators to make ongoing updates. An analytics strategy helps Clearview measure success and define optimizations in service of web and business KPIs. The CMS enabled ZAG to incorporate a rates management tool that supports changing promotions and allows rates to be updated in a centralized location, then dynamically populate across the site. In addition to this, a custom locations finder makes it easier for Clearview to manage location data and for members to find a nearby financial center. The website also includes several other key integrations including live chat, online banking, online applications, embedded forms, and more, offering added convenience to members and supporting Clearview’s business success.
