Recently celebrating fifteen years in business, ZAG Interactive, a digital agency based in Glastonbury, CT has added several new team members and is finalizing construction on our office space to accommodate our growth and expansion. We are pleased to introduce you to the fresh faces that have joined the ZAG family, and hope that you love each person just as much as we do!
Marah Boisoneau, Project Manager
When projects come in, Marah manages them with style and grace. With a rich background in Account Management and Client Services, Marah takes the time to understand her clients and all the project’s details. You can count on Marah to get the job done, and mix in a bit of fun to make the process enjoyable. She brings a blend of her technical IT knowledge coupled with her BA of Economics, Minors in English and Business Management together to benefit ZAG’s diverse client-base, managing projects large and small, always on the ball. When Marah’s not keeping her clients on their toes, Marah enjoys family time with her husband and two kids.
Brian Giordano, Project Manager
Professional, dependable, and polite are three adjectives to describe Brian, another new addition to ZAG’s project management team. He’s also got a dry sense of humor that will keep you smiling. Hailing from Boston, MA, Brian managed a team of Project Managers while managing his own daily projects. His skills run the gamut of digital knowledge in Jira, HTML/CSS, C++ and he holds a BA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island College. When he’s not managing projects, Brian works on continuing his education in computer science, plays guitar, spends way too much time customizing happy birthday songs for his bros, and also is an open ear to all of the strangers that impart their life stories in the grocery store while he shops for authentic Ramen supplies.
Kristen Wartschow, Project Manager
Kristen is the latest new new project manager to join ZAG and she’s already hit the ground running. With a background in web design, marketing and #agencylife, she’s got a flair for organization and loves working closely with her clients on a daily basis. Kristen brings a AS degree in Graphic Communication Design from Northwestern Connecticut Community College, and is a fan of fresh, modern design with great UX. Off the clock you can catch her playing a variety of sports, training for her next half marathon, and coaching the Varsity Girls’ Volleyball team at Loomis Chaffee, in between hanging with her family.
Michelle Chabot, Systems/Network Security Engineer
Michelle joined ZAG as a Systems/Network Security Engineer. What does that mean to non-technical folks? Well, Michelle helps to safeguard our clients’ websites from outside threats and works to keep our networks safe and sound. Michelle has been working with cybersecurity and digital forensics since 2001 and always has enjoyed addressing security issues. She has designed all types of networks, from peer-to-peer to multi-regional AWS cloud networks and everything in between, and now focuses on maintaining network integrity while protecting proprietary data. When she hangs up her crime fighting cape, she enjoys downtime with her loving family and dog Samson.
Janet Vamos, Web Developer, Client Care
Janet is a smart and savvy front-end developer who thinks outside of the box and brings a sense of class to the proverbial women in tech industry. Despite having studied dead languages in college (she obtained a BA in Classical Languages, Literatures and Linguistics), Janet is able to apply her love of language at ZAG by writing in HTML, Javascript, and C#. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, barre, and traveling throughout the region, country and world as much as possible.
Vanessa Demetrio, Business Development Specialist
Vanessa is a master of communication. Not only does she speak three languages, but she also has extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development, which is backed up with a degree in Public Relations from Temple University. When prospective clients reach out to ZAG, Vanessa cheerfully engages them to discover their needs and then customizes a solution. In her spare time, she studies at the Wine Institute of New England, working towards becoming a certified specialist of wine and enjoys sipping the fruits of her labor with her own homebrew in between her international travels.
Prathyusha Surapaneni, Web Developer, Client Care
When clients need help updating their websites, Prathyusha works her magic to develop a solution. A polite and friendly new edition to our Client Care team, Prathyusha has a range of experience in both front-end development with skills in Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and back-end tools and building applications including ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET. She previously worked in India for two years as a Printed Circuit Boards Layout Design Engineer, and earned a Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering while she was there, and also holds a Masters in Computer Science from CCSU. When she’s not in front of the screen, she enjoys gardening, crafts, cooking and rocking out to some sweet melodies.
Danielle Murray, Junior Marketing Assistant
A new addition to the marketing team, Danielle brings her passion for SEO, social media and content marketing to work for ZAG’s clients. She brings a background in public relations, marketing and journalism to ZAG, as well as a Master’s degree in PR and Marketing from Quinnipiac University. Danielle is certified in Google AdWords has earned advanced degrees in pug ownership, occasional yoga practicing, hiking, movie-watching, and family time.
Dan Wolfgang, Web Developer, Client Care
Dan joins ZAG with lots of experience as a developer, primarily on a LAMP stack, and joins our Client Care team to address any number of complex matters. His speaks in Perl, JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX, SQL, HTML, CSS, PHP, XML programming languages, and loves to integrate systems with third-party APIs and home grown software. In his downtime, he contributes to the Movable Type community, volunteers for the Boy Scouts, and enjoys woodworking, kayaking, and cranking up his tractor whenever the need arises. Fun fact: with two Dan’s and two Danielle’s already on staff, we figured his name alone would allow him to blend in seamlessly to our merry band of misfits.
James Scariati, Web Developer
Like a Tribe Called Quest, James left his job in El Segundo to come join ZAG as a new front-end developer. He brings over ten years of experience in several web technologies, frameworks, and tools including HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, Zurb Foundation, and Git. He holds a BA degree in Digital Media from Marist College and is a certified ScrumMaster. When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his family and blessing them with his piano playing skills.
