Heat is On with Four New Site Launches in June

Parking lot cookouts, swimming in the company kiddie pool, developing and launching four more responsive websites...June was a busy month at ZAG and we’re still going strong through the summer. Read about these latest responsive website launches, explore more before and after designs as well as our portfolio, and contact us to chat about your project needs.

CampusParc
CampusParc serves as the parking authority for The Ohio State University, one of the largest campus parking systems in the United States. Our project involved modernizing a responsive website we created in 2012 to refresh its appearance across desktop, laptop and mobile platforms. Our redesign included introducing mega menu navigation to deliver an improved user experience and streamlining the top-level navigation to make information accessible quickly. This information reorganization also provides additional space for CampusParc to promote specific services. We also enhanced the visibility of the alerts function so that timely messages are relayed to visitors quickly while retaining the three promotional areas below the news feed and the Garage Tracker chart that shows real-time capacity updates in all CampusParc facilities. CampusParc’s updated site moved to an upgraded version of Sitefinity, as well, and we leveraged the CMS’s built-in SEO advantages to add more keyword-rich content to the site based on the targeted research our marketing department conducted.

HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union
In 2011, we partnered with HawaiiUSA on a website initiative to offer enhanced usability for visitors to match the personal service HawaiiUSA delivers. We partnered again with the credit union this year to refresh its online presence with a responsive website that remains local and warm, while continuing to reflect its core values of service, unity, achievement and integrity. We developed a new site architecture in order to consolidate hundreds of pages of information in various areas of the website while enhancing the visibility of specific areas, such as online security, fraud alerts and financial and life-stage education to benefit HawaiiUSA’s members. Our development team built the responsive website on the Kentico CMS and developed a custom rates database and integrated multiple financial calculators, a mortgage rate feed and the powerful SilverCloud search functionality. Additionally, we built the website to conform to WCAG 2.0 Level A compliance. As the site’s content volume grew since 2011, the tone and page length began to deviate from the original. We addressed these inconsistencies by rewriting all content and focusing on our updated, targeted keyword research.

Dutch Point Credit Union
With seven branches throughout Connecticut and a community charter, Dutch Point needed a forward-thinking, progressive website that attracts new members and allows members to find information quickly and engage self-service channels effortlessly. We created a responsive website that broke up Dutch Point’s previously “boxy” appearance with a design that is open and fresh using softer imagery and colors. Our redesign included a reorganized, more intuitive site architecture and simplified “mega menu” navigation in order to guide visitors through the site quickly while showcasing important information at the top of the page to eliminate the need for scrolling. Building on the Sitefinity Content Management System, our developers bolstered the clean design with intelligent functionality that enhances the user experience and simplifies content management for Dutch Point’s administrators. We also integrated third-party online banking services and built a dynamic rates management database that updates rates across the website within a centralized location. ZAG’s copywriting department collaborated with Dutch Point’s marketing team to edit the site’s content for tone consistency and SEO value, the latter of which was the result of the ZAG marketing department’s targeted keyword research.

MIT Federal Credit Union
Catering to a large base of tech-savvy members, MITFCU sought a website redesign from ZAG Interactive that introduced a more sophisticated brand, and presented information in a more streamlined, user-friendly manner. We created a responsive website that meets members’ needs at every turn, no matter how they choose to view and use the site. Along with a cleaner, more modern look, our design department leveraged large images that represent the communities MITFCU serves and provide a sense of personal connection with the credit union. Our development team built the new site on the Kentico Content Management System and integrated an existing locations database along with multiple existing financial calculators. They also created a dynamic rates database that MITFCU administrators can use to manage and easily change rates through a centralized portal. As part of this project, our copywriting department spearheaded a content overhaul while working closely with MITFCU’s marketing department to accurately capture the credit union’s personality and marketing voice.
