Meet two of the newest members of the ZAG team, Dawn and Andrea! Trust us, the headline will make sense.
Dawn LaBorde
Dawn is a ballroom dancer and film buff who has an affinity for Shakespeare.
Technically, she’s too cultured to work with most of us, but for some reason, she tolerates the low-brow humor and some co-workers whose knowledge of famous quotes is restricted to Will Ferrell movies.
Despite these difficult circumstances, Dawn arranges and maintains many of the details that are part of the daily operations here at ZAG. As the Director of First Impressions, Dawn likely is the person who will greet you on the phone or when you visit our office.
Prior to joining ZAG, she worked in various human services counseling positions after earning her psychology degree in college. She has been trained in first aid, CPR, American Sign Language and many other interesting areas.
This is all too serious to even try to end with something clever.
Andrea Vail
Andrea runs our accounting department and brings several years of accountancy and business managerial experience to us.
She previously worked in similar roles for the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, Healthtrax International and Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She has developed a detailed understanding of corporate accounting practices and business processes.
But it’s not all about numbers for Andrea.
She also is a landscape artist (check out her Facebook page) and a board member and art teacher with Creative Arts for Developing Minds, a Middletown-based non-profit that provides art, music and movement to foster and adopted children.
When she’s not creating or sharing art, she enjoys baking, gardening and visiting the Rhode Island coastline with her husband, Michael.
All that and she makes sure we get paid on time. Impressive.
