For the fourth 
time in our company history, ZAG has been awarded Kentico Site of the Year in the Financial Services category. We are honored and excited to receive the top trophy for the redesign of the HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union website redesign, which will sit next to previous winners Suffolk Credit Union (2022), Starion Bank (2020), and Firefly CU - now TruStone (2016).
A Refreshed Digital Presence for this Hawaii Credit Union
HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union is a long-time ZAG client, and long-time Kentico client as well. When it came time to upgrade their CMS technology, ZAG used the opportunity to revisit the website strategy, design, content and overall UX as well. This project included just about everything ZAG is expert in, so it's no surprise that it won top honors in the category:

Using a data-driven approach, we first took a look at how the previous site was performing, noting areas for improvement and what was also working well.

ZAG's strategy team then revisited the site architecture, looking for a better way to organize content so that it's that's helpful to visitors during their financial journey, while creating scalability for end-users.

The design team then collaborated with our strategy team to create a moodboard, sketches and ultimately custom, responsive design layouts that reflected the credit union's unique brand, while ensuring that every element of each layout had a strategic purpose.

ZAG's development team created a custom site in Kentico, including dozens of custom widgets, a solution finder, content personalization, a blog, a rates management tool and much more.

During this process, our copywriting team streamlined content to deliver messaging that helped visitors easily understand the credit union's products and services, while our SEO team maximized opportunities to rank organically in search engines. This is complimented by the paid search efforts we also manage for this credit union.

Every site interaction on the new site continues to be measured so that we can identify areas to improve performance, and allow the credit union to report on this as well.
