In this season of celebrating blessings, we’d be remiss not to highlight the talented professionals who have joined ZAG Interactive throughout the year. These folks have joined our client account services, development and marketing departments to provide greater team depth and enable ZAG to deliver even better client service.
You’ve likely interacted with several of these people already, directly or indirectly, during the course of your projects. But we wanted to give you a glimpse into their professional backgrounds and some of their personal interests. Marshall Annis, Web Developer
Marshall spent several years with major Hartford insurers as a web designer and front-end developer. He’s an HFI-Certified Usability Analyst and fluent in all popular programming languages. Marshall enjoys scuba diving, especially at shipwreck sites, and golfing on dry land in his spare time. Nate Axtell, Web Developer
Nate’s experience includes nearly 10 years in the development and support of sophisticated software used to integrate and test marine electronics systems. He brings to ZAG more than eight years of experience with .NET and SQL Server development. When he’s not at work, Nate escapes to nature for mountain biking and photography projects. Paul Borysewicz, Web Developer
Charlotte brings more than 10 years of experience managing projects for web and technology companies that catered to a variety of clients. She is a certified project management professional and holds an MBA. When she’s not at work, Charlotte enjoys biking, skiing, reading and embarrassing her teenage and adult children. Steve Brenston, Web Developer
Steve brings several years of software and web development experience to ZAG after working in the pharmaceutical and banking industries, as well as in the field of education. In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his children, and he raised Golden Retrievers for show for several years. His Grand Champion Golden Retriever, Rio, accompanies him to the office on occasion.
Greg Calnen, Client Relations and Account Manager
Greg’s attention to detail served him well as an analyst in the insurance and financial industries. He serves in a business development capacity with ZAG while assisting clients with their support and technical requests. Greg is a passionate supporter of HARC, a non-profit serving those with intellectual disabilities. In his free time, Greg can be found at the closest hockey rink playing, coaching or watching. Connie Cavallo, Project Manager
Connie’s experience as a marketing professional allows her to relate to what ZAG’s clients are experiencing throughout a website design and development project. She has been a project/marketing/event manager in the technology sector for several years, and she distills complex concepts to assist clients’ understanding. Connie’s a former hockey goalie who loves the sport and also finds time to enjoy fine food and drink.
Dave Field, Accountant
Dave brings 30 years of accounting experience from a major Hartford insurance company where he filled various financial and operational roles. He knows addition, subtraction, multiplication and long division. Dave also enjoys hiking, fishing and doing his part to keep various craft breweries in business. Brenna Keough, Interactive Marketing Specialist
Brenna developed her skills as a marketing coordinator for a technology company in the financial services industry prior to joining ZAG. Her professional experience also extends to the health and wellness sector. Brenna loves music, food, arts and crafts, and penguins. Josh Miclette, Web Designer/Developer
Josh is part of our design department and brings nearly 10 years of website design and development experience provided to a variety of clients. Outside of work, Josh enjoys personal training and reading books about history and politics.

Chris keeps his hands in all types of digital initiatives and planning for clients and he excels in interactive project management and social media program development. He sharpened his skills at various agencies in Connecticut before joining us a couple of months ago, and he’s been involved in account management, content writing, SEO/SEM, online marketing and more. Glen Sawyer, Web Developer
Glen brings significant SharePoint experience to ZAG through projects he managed for clients in the engineering and retail sectors. He developed a SharePoint web part and an AutoCad plug-in to organize critical data for engineering projects and also implemented and deployed enhancements to a customized SharePoint portal. Outside of work, Glen enjoys skiing, playing hockey and practicing traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. Dan Seagull, Project Manager
Dan served as an IT project manager for Travelers where he handled web development, email and mobile communication projects and many other initiatives. He also put his science and technical background to work as a middle school teacher at a Hartford magnet school, meaning he can manage almost anything. Before his children came along, Dan had lots of hobbies. Now he boasts an encyclopedic knowledge of princesses and trucks. Jason Stanizzi, Account Manager
Jason knows customer relations as well as anyone after working more than 25 years in the customer service field supporting various sales initiatives and serving as a customer relations expert in the restaurant industry. When he’s not busy being a husband and dad, he loves playing/coaching sports, fishing from his kayak, playing guitar and drums, and home-brewing beer.
(We’re almost done. Promise.) Michael Vickers, Chief Technology Officer
Michael has more than 20 years of software development experience working with some of the world’s largest companies in the pharmaceutical, hospitality, retail, and telecommunications industries. His former company, LightPath Solutions, was acquired by ZAG this past summer. Michael enjoys a variety of pursuits outside of work, including traveling, cycling, theology and all things related to technology and gadgets. Kat Villalba, Administrative Assistant
Kat has served as a combination executive assistant and project manager for law firms and technology companies in her career. She’s typically ZAG’s first impression on the phone and when people visit us. When Kat is away from the office, she enjoys live music, vintage/antique shopping and traveling.
We have added two other employees in departments we can’t disclose because of confidentiality agreements. Just know that they go by the pseudonyms Nick Flaxseed and Gideon Longjohn.
