ZAG’s Got a Brand New Website

As a leading digital agency, ZAG Interactive knows a little something about the value of having an amazing website. When it became clear that our website wasn’t everything we wanted it to be, we began a website redesign initiative that was both a labor of love and a testament to the amazing quality of work of our talented team.

Developing the action plan
When an agency becomes its own client, it’s easy to understand why clients begin projects with a list of goals that is reminiscent of a lifetime of New Year’s resolutions. We began by identifying the pain points of our previous website, our marketing and communications objectives and our technology needs. We then organized this into a list of must-have and nice-to-have initiatives so that we could develop a plan. Some of the main priorities included:
  • Creating a modular design that allows us to cater to new visitors who aren’t yet familiar with our offerings, and those who are coming back for a deeper dive into our offerings
  • Building a site in the Kentico CMS to leverage its powerful technology, ease of use and marketing features
  • Designing and building a website that was conformant to WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines
  • Offering a variety of content types – from video and blogs to social media feeds and even a Spotify playlist
  • Engaging audiences with fresh digital insights, informative case studies and a before and after design gallery
  • Leveraging technology like personalization and marketing automation to maximize the visitor experience and facilitate conversion
  • Tracking site activity and engagement through powerful analytics reporting
Making it happen
Once the plan was in place, our strategy and design leads began to turn this website dream into reality. Creating design templates that were simple, modular and scalable, we met the unique needs of each page of our new site. Our development team then turned these designs into a functioning prototype and ultimately a full website. During this process, our content was updated where necessary to fit the new design, maximize inbound marketing value and reflect our unique brand personality. Finally, the site was thoroughly tested across devices and against conformance standards.
