Hello.

Meet our leadership team – strategists, technology enthusiasts, creatives. What do we all share in common? A commitment to finding the right solutions for our clients, and doing it with our unique blend of personalities.

Larry D. Miclette, Jr.

Larry D. Miclette, Jr.

President/CEO

Larry drives the direction of ZAG Interactive with the same entrepreneurial attitude that compelled him to start his own company in 2002. His vision of organic growth within the progressive world of website and software development has positioned ZAG Interactive as the primary development resource for national clients in a variety of industries.

With significant experience as a developer, Larry is committed to producing the finest web and software solutions to clients with an award-winning team of designers and strategists.

At the heart of ZAG Interactive is a dedication to client satisfaction by exceeding expectations.

From the company’s grassroots beginnings, Larry’s work ethic and perseverance have branded ZAG Interactive as a company that implements beneficial solutions for clients while managing projects of various sizes from conception to completion and beyond.

He also infuses the workplace with a healthy dose of humor and camaraderie, believing that creative employees who are free to express themselves deliver high-quality work and exude dynamism. The result of Larry’s efforts is a strong, secure business that always delivers a great product.

Larry’s hobbies include the martial arts, an interest he exhibits around the office with demonstrative karate kicks to punctuate good news. Bongos also represent an important communication and celebratory tool that Larry utilizes when inspiration strikes. He honors The Beatles (ad nauseam, some would say) by regularly pumping their music over the ZAG Interactive sound system. In the spring and summer, he will talk your ear off about the Red Sox, and year-round, he’s always bragging about his wife and their four wonderful children.

Bethany Pellerin

Bethany Pellerin

Senior Project Manager

Bethany spearheads every project at ZAG Interactive, guiding each one with precision and a focus on timelines and objectives. Her detailed preparation on the front-end ensures that clients receive the desired result—a solution that best fits their needs.

With a keen understanding of business processes, Bethany liaises with our clients’ top-ranking officials to apprise them of developments and milestones as a campaign progresses.

Bethany has managed more than 50 different projects at ZAG Interactive. She joined as an account coordinator in 2008, quickly ascending ZAG Interactive’s leadership ranks to become senior project manager.

Within this hectic and ever-changing environment, Bethany is poised under pressure.

Her secret? An affinity for fine goat cheeses and assorted candies. They keep her centered, as does living near the beach. One day, she hopes to own a cute puppy that she can take down to the water…to share goat cheese.

Melanie Salas

Melanie Salas

Lead Web Developer

When clients want to advance their business strategies or overcome a specific challenge, Melanie leads the team responsible for identifying the correct answers. In many cases, clients approach ZAG Interactive with a general idea of how they want a website to perform, and Melanie quickly deduces what functionality and features would best serve them.

She has developed more than 30 websites built across various content management systems. Prior to joining our team, Melanie spent seven years as an in-house developer in the Connecticut office of one of the world’s largest banks. Melanie is intensely dedicated to developing websites and applications tailored to each client.

She also brings a competitor’s attitude to two other interests in her life: watching professional football as a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, and hula-hooping. With the latter, she is the reigning office champion, a one-woman dynasty built on intimidation.

Plus, she’s a foodie who loves West Hartford restaurants and enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter Audrey and Sam, their Wheaten Terrier.

Paul Andrews

Paul Andrews

Lead Application Developer

The man who masters the machine, Paul brings more than 10 years of application and web development experience to ZAG Interactive. As lead application developer for the team, he ensures that the multitude of unseen moving parts within a website work in conjunction to produce the desired results.

With a background of extensive front- and back-end development, Paul builds functional applications that are powerful and user-centric solutions to our clients’ challenges.

His impressive professional skill set is rivaled only by his ability to consume massive, dangerous amounts of coffee throughout the day. But not in that weird way that causes people to act like hyperactive squirrels. Paul is more in control and smooth about his coffee drinking, like Chuck Norris. Coffee, in fact, uses Paul to stay alert.

As the office Renaissance Man, Paul is the starting shortstop in a wooden bat fast-pitch baseball league and an active guitarist whose influences include prog-rockers Coheed and Cambria.

Jennifer Buccini

Jennifer Buccini

Senior Designer

Jenn is our creative leader, shaping the artistic vision of a department that consistently impresses clients with visually striking designs. Her philosophy balances an appreciation for crisp design and a focus on effective communication, blended with maybe just a little bit more than a touch of fastidiousness.

Jenn’s award-winning designs have been consistently displayed on a national stage for more than 10 years.

On autumn weekends, Jenn’s creativity is channeled toward tailgate party menus. Her culinary skills shine on game day when she becomes an expert grillmaster and parking lot chef as she, her husband and daughter celebrate their beloved UConn Huskies.

Doug Malan

Doug Malan

Copywriter

Doug writes, a lot. Websites, blogs, books, stories, you name it. Among his awards, he earned “Best Penmanship” in Mrs. Wagner’s third-grade class following an intense year-long competition with his good friend, Brian. He grew up near St. Louis and remains devoted to the Cardinals.

His free-time pursuits involve listening to bluesy and funk-infused music and enjoying sports and outdoor activities with his wife and sons.

But he’d rather write about other people than himself.
