ASP.Net Application Developer

ZAG Interactive is seeking an experienced ASP.Net application developer to join our energetic team. This person will play a key role in developing websites for our growing client base and will be an integral project team member, continually working with our project managers, designers and other developers.

This position requires working directly with the clients and internal staff to manage multiple website development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management and other staff setting development approach to translate design and strategies into front-end and back-end solutions that meet both business and end-user needs
  • Research the competitive landscape and make recommendations relating to website organization and information hierarchy
  • Remain current with the latest development techniques that will help shape clients’ needs
  • Work at a fast pace to meet tight project deadlines and continuously juggle multiple projects throughout a typical week
  • Use your collaborative skills to ensure compatibility with colleagues and clients to maintain ZAG’s high standards of service and solutions

Requirements:

Front End Web Developer

The Front End Web Developer works directly with clients and internal staff to develop strategies and design specifications to improve the performance, usability, and effectiveness of the client’s web presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on site design strategies and research the competitive landscape to make recommendations relating to website organization and information hierarchy.
  • Document strategy by developing site maps and wire frames representing website and application layouts.
  • Interface with internal creative and technical staff to ensure that website designs meet both business and end user needs.
  • Provide web knowledge and support for internal and external clients with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Build websites primarily on a .NET CMS, working within CMS Frameworks.
  • Perform coding, testing, documentation and implementation of websites including cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and search engine optimization.
  • Manage time sensitive website updates in a fast paced environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance for client websites and new product releases.
  • Recommend process improvements and product enhancements to Management.
  • Make every reasonable effort to perform on, or below, project budget 100% of the time.
  • Update weekly time tracking, CRM and project management tasks within assigned systems, providing accurate task and client correspondence descriptions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in a technology discipline and 2-5 years of web-based technical experience, as well as 1 year of customer support experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be organized and able to work under deadlines and on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must maintain a high level professional demeanor with clients and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles required.
  • Experience working with third party vendors and products preferred.

Project Manager

ZAG Interactive is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its growing staff. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, love a challenge and be passionate about the company they work for. Experience in both Marketing and Communications is a benefit and applicant must be willing to learn and grow in the position.

This position requires working directly with the clients and internal staff to manage multiple website development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and managing the project plan and working with discipline leads and project team to execute on plans
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the project team and ensure work is progressing as planned. Work with project team and be actively involved in all aspects of the work
  • Manage schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon.
  • Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance
  • Consistently identify needs that Clients may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
  • Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback
  • Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to clients and team members on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels
  • Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvements; Demonstrate good project management methodology and project processes
  • Partner with project team leads to present work

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience in interactive project management
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams
  • Ability to understand and document project requirements and dependencies
  • Understanding of business and functional requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
  • Experience with the design and development of websites and an understanding of web technologies and third party applications and platforms
  • Mobile and social media/community experience an asset
  • Competencies in MS Office, MS Project, Project Management Software, bug tracking, wiki and other related common communications tools is required

Entry-Level Reception Position (Part-Time)

ZAG Interactive is seeking a part-time, entry-level receptionist in our Glastonbury, CT office.

This position is mainly a reception position but also includes providing support to the full-time administrative team.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors.
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Sign for and distribute UPS/Fed Ex packages.
  • Research, price, and purchase office furniture and supplies.
  • Order office supplies and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  • Data entry into various programs including but not limited to the companies CRM.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work onsite in our Glastonbury, CT office
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Experience with word processing and spreadsheets, database and presentation software
  • Ability to interact with staff and customers (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
